Anyone familiar or had any good or bad experiences at either of these hospitals? I need to choose a hospital that will deliver a "high-risk baby" with down syndrome. I was going to deliver at St Josephs, Burbank, CA but was told I have to go to a University Hospital. Thanks for any answers.

My son was diagnose with a clef lip when I was 19 weeks pregnant, I was considered a high risk pregnancy. I went with usc and they break everything down for you, talk you through everything! I loved it and felt so comfortable there! It was great in my experience! They set up with the physical therapist and surgical team and gave me appointments before my son was born. They come see you after you give birth! ((I gave birth at Glendale adventist)) it was a great experience and it helped me cope with everything and relieved me from future stresses.

Good Luck!

I am not from this area, but I have heard quite a bit about UCLA MEdical Center. When in doubt, visit both and get brochure on the hospitals and read about them.
