Where is the best doctor near in charlotte, NC that can circumsize my two sons, ages 10 and 13?

Why are you doing this at these ages? It seems it would be very traumatizing. I would doubt any ethically practicing doctor would perform this surgery on boys of this age. It is one thing if they were constantly getting UTI's - but with proper hygiene, this shouldn't be an issue. I would take them to a UROLOGIST or PEDIATRICIAN and discuss whatever the problem/issue is. They will probably tell you the boys can wait until they are in their late teens or early 20's to decide for themselves if they want the surgery or not. My son is 10, there is NO WAY I would ever think to put him through something as traumatic as circumcision, if it wasn't medically necessary. He was circumsized when he was 8 days old (which he can't remember and is the best and safest day to do it as an infant - hence, why the Bible says so). He was fine, but it was hard enough then, I'm sure. Please consider what you are suggesting.

I want you to consider this: Would you want to go through this at your age? That will be awful, painful and traumatizing to your sons at this age and THEY will NEVER EVER forget it or possible even FORGIVE you for it. You may think you have good reasons for it, but they are YOUR reasons. I'm with everyone who has responded to this question. A urologist would be the person to do this, but you would need to see your pediatrian first. Tell this to them and watch the color drain from their faces......And at this age, insurance won't probably pay for it without it being a necessity. I just want you to honestl think about the implication to them from their perspective and ask yourself is it worth it.

Why do you want to circumcise your boys? There is no medical reason. The only benefit is decreased transmission of sexually transmitted deseases, for those with poor hygeine and multiple sexual partners (ie: if you are clean and monogamous, there is no medical benefit).
You must go to the local university medical center and see the pediatric urologist there.

I don't think you really have to look for best doctor for circumcision your sons.I think any doctor who performs such surgery can do good job.Good luck.

Why get them circumcised now? Unless you are Muslim, why not let them decide when they are older?

why did you wait this long? are your sons okay with it? do they understand that it is painful at this stage? do YOU understand?
