Letterman Army Hospital, along with the Presidio of San Francisco, was decomissioned and shut down as a military hospital more than ten years ago. It is now part of the National Park Service, administered by a Presidio Trust, as part of the Golden Gate National Recreational Area (GGNRA). , under the US Department of the Interior.

There is a historian for this organization; however, if you are seeking records and information about Letterman ArmyHospital specifically, and especially military records, you may have to contact whichever repository has the old military records of the post. That would be with the United States Army (The Presidio and Letterman were the headquarters of the Sixth Army Headquarters.
Contact the history section of the US Army, for information on who specifically to contact. A good place to start might be the US Deparmtent of Defense, Office of the Secretary of the Army, and ask for a reference to the Army Historical units that can lead you to the data you require. Those records, depending on how old they are, may be with the US Army, or under civilian control of the National Archives.

Good luck.
