Go to an urgent care clinic. No appointments necessary, and it is pretty cheap for Doctor's care.

If you have a medical school in your area, this a great way to locate competent medical care, for free or nominal cost.

The problem might be getting an appointment when you are sick and need immediate attention. There can be a waiting period in this scenario.

I completely understand why you wouldn't be on health insurance, but can I offer up that there are ways to be on insurance that won't cost you an arm & leg? Combining an individual health plan with outsourcing of prescriptions can get you covered with health insurance, without paying a lot. Please see my websites below.

If you earn minimum wage you are probably eligible for state assistance with medical insurance. You can be seen in an urgent care and they will also be able to help you apply.

If you have any Minor Emergency Clinics in your area, you may get what you need there, and I don't believe it would cost very much. Some employers have these clinics to send injured employees to for treatment. Ask your supervisor or manager for advice.

Why are they requirinig a doctors note? I am assuming that you have missed several days of work. Can you visit one of the 24hr clinics to get your note?

Doesn't it stink not having health insurance?

The Republicans don't think so, and they couldn't care less about you or me.
