My puppy is almost 6 months old and it's about time I called and schduled his neuter. I'm wondering if anyone on here has used Bayonne Animal Hospital in Bayonne NJ to neuter their dog and if they would recommend it there. My dog is a toy breed and I'm really nervous about him going under anethesia,...

My hubby is in the army so we move around a lot. When I have to find a vet or I want real reviews from people like about service or groomers, etc, I go to the local pet stores. Many of the employees there have animals and can give you great advice about the local vets. So you might ask some locals in your area.

You should discuss your concerns openly with whoever you choose to do the neuter surgery. If you don't like the answers, then move on. The anesthesia that are being used today are much safer than those from years back, so I wouldn't worry. I just had an 2 1/2 lb adult male put out for a scaling, and he did fine. Have pre-op blood work done to lessen any risks.

Your vet will do a wellness check and probably blood work to make sure the animal is healthy enough to go under.Tiny breeds have to weigh enough as well.
The procedure is so quick and simple that any licensed vet
should be qualified to do this.
Ask them their rate.
