The AMA used to be against the health care reform effort just recently in fact, but is backing the current house legislation. No one is quite sure why they were against some of the past bill and for this one.

Yes. So do over 70% of U.S. citizens and every other advanced nation on the planet. But they aren't putting $1.4 million per day of insurance policy holder's money into pro private insurance/anti public option, lobbying campaigns aimed at every D.C. politician (especially Max Baucus) like the medical insurance industry is.

I have read just the opposite .......... that the AMA does not support the health care plan.
