Sounds like the flu!

Although the allergy season is starting you do not have a fever, or the shakes. I would say you had some virus/flu
and the traveling from one extreme to the other compounded everything for you.

Rest, drink lots of fluids, motrin and call another MD if you aren't better in 24 hours. All allergies due is kick your butt
and make you sneeze, sniff, and water (yes its no fun)!
They do not cause a fever, pain or this.

I am not a dr, but used to have a worst best constant friend, the tissues...

My allergies went away when I left the Ohio crud area, I was actually not in Ohio, but that's the nickname, something about the way all the polution circles and gets trapped etc. They come back when I visit there for friends.

I never had symptoms like yours for allergies or asthma, well the congested and the clothespin yeah, but shaky and chills no.

Maybe you have slight allergies, then caught something else while you're immune was working overtime, or maybe you don't.

You could always get a second opinion.

Or try the allergy stuff and see if certain symptoms go away. The only problem with that is people are different and all pills and home remedies don't work for all people. That is a huge trial and what works issue, I tried sooo many things.

In any case, I never heard of chills and sweat as allergies, or shaking. Some people shake from medicine to treat, but that is something else.

Get a second opinion. Intense pain and lots of sweating are not signs of a simple allergy or cold. Check your skin to see if you have any unusual marks, you may have been bitten by a tick/spider/disease carrying mosquito.

I highly doubt this is allergy related at all. See if you can see another doctor. Fever, sweating, chills are all illness related.
