Oh my gosh!!! I can help you!!! I used to live in Chicago, but i am VERY familiar of the area. In the suburbs of Chicago, I strongly recommend Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, IL. That's where I was born and my brother. The hospital is very nice. It has a gift shop and everything, the doctors are very caring, and once your beautiful baby is born, they will give it a blanket and a pillow i recall on my last visit when i was 18 working as an intern. It was a nice job too. If not there, then I suggest St. Francis Hospital and Health, and the University of Chicago Corner's Children's Hospital.

I had one baby in Elgin and the other in Barrington. I preferred Barrington - Good Shephard Hospital. I think that pretty much most hospitals will give you nice service and a nice room. The nurses are usually nice because they get to schmooze with beautiful babies all day long! You can always call the hospital, too, and ask for a tour. We got one beforehand at Good Shephard, which was good since we arrived in a hurry at 2am! : )
Also, make a list of all your concerns and questions and ask them while on the tour or on the phone. Things like, can daddy sleep over with mommy and new baby? What are the visiting rules - age limits, etc. How long can she stay after baby is born, assuming baby is healthy. I had to stay three days because baby #1 was jaundice. Which was fine with me because I liked having baby and me being taken care of!
Hope this helps! Congratulations! It will be THE happiest moment of your life!
