Are you in therapy yet? If so don't they know the endocrinologists in the local area that are willing to work with transsexual people? The doctor you will see will probably want a letter of referral from your therapist.

Anywho, you might have to travel to Atlanta, the nearest name I could find in Tennessee was in Memphis. Here are a couple names from Atlanta:

Ask the county medical board for doctors who specialize in gender reassignment, then look on the internet for patient comments. Also try the nearest university medical school (the department heads often are in private practice as well as teaching).

Edit: Five years ago, you were half of a married gay couple hoping to adopt. This is a different perspective altogether. I have to wonder what's changed. Just curious.
