My family is putting me in a mental hospital. I'm terrified that I'll be stuck in four concrete walls without windows, etc. I was wondering if there are any with a view? Either on the water, or a garden, etc.? I live in Florida, but it's possible to put me in one that's by the Smoky Mountains....

you seem advanced enough to ask for out patient treatment instead. but take your gardens with you if your going. things have changed a lot over the years. i hope they're better for you if you doo.

Most psychiatric treatment facilities have windows. Some of them have bars on the windows, depending upon how dangerous the patients are.

If you are psychotic, you may end up in a place with bars on the windows. If you have an eating disorder, there will be windows and the doors probably won't even be locked.

Good luck getting better. I know it is scary, but you will be getting the help you need.

Although I don't live in the USA I'm sure you will not be put anywhere were you can't see the outside world unless its for your safety & protection.Hopefully you will soon be better
