Laurie Leventhal-Belfer, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who specializes in autism awareness and its care. A published author, she uses a unique approach in working with children on the Autism Spectrum and their families, especially children with Asperger's Syndrome. Furthermore, she treats many clients, children and families alike, coping with anxiety, chronic illness (cancer, etc), and other childhood traumas. Dr. Leventhal-Belfer also founded of The Friends Program, a therapeutic group program for children with Asperger's Syndrome and related disorders.
